INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICINES
Pain & Fever Meds
- Kid-friendly syrups for pain or fever: Give every 6 hours if needed, but not more than 4 times a day.
- Never apply pain balms for tooth ache.
Infection Medicines (Only if given)
- Follow the complete course of medication as advised; don’t stop in between even if the child seems okay.
- Give the medicine after food.
- Don’t give extra antibiotic syrups without asking (can make germs stronger).
- Don’t take any new medicine without calling doctor.
If any rash, fast breathing, vomiting, or tummy pain happens contact
us.
POST – EXTRACTION INSTRUCTIONS (Tooth removal)
Keep the cotton plug for 30 mins approximately after tooth removal.
- You can give an Ice Cream after removing the cotton plug (Scoop is preferred, no cone or choco bars)
- Your child should swallow the saliva and should not spit for the day
- Do not brush in that area for the day
- Apply ice packs from outside in case of any swelling
- Avoid hard, spicy and hot food for three days,
- Avoid carbonated drinks (Thums Up, Limca) or milkshakes with straws
- Keep a watch on your child till the numbing effect comes down to avoid Lip/Cheek biting.
- Do not Rinse, Spit or Drink through a straw for 24 hrs.
- After 24 hours: Gently rinse with lukewarm saltwater (1 tsp salt in a glass of water) 2-3 times daily, especially after meals.
- Brush gently with soft brush; avoid treated area for 48 hours.
When to Call Us
- Heavy bleeding, severe pain, fever, or pus.
- Swelling worsens after 48 hours.
- Child refuses food or seems unwell.
